I got the OK to make the spare room in our basement into a gaming room when my sister in law moved out. I got a flat panel tv, a 5.1 surround sound system, and a nice sized couch in the room. All I have to do now is get my subwoofer hooked in, and get a hard wire from my PS3 to the network router.  During all of this I was trying to decide on what I was going to do about lighting when I realized that the wrong lighting fixtures would effect my gaming experience.

We decided to leave the room with almost no extra lighting in it.  There is one ceiling fixture that is wired to a dimmer.  This will work nice because I can get exactly what I want without jeopardizing my gaming experience.
