So now I have played Battlefield: Bad Company 2 for 2 days now. Well… 2 days as far as I am concerned. I have been trying to get the boards figured out as best as I can. Short of eating meals, and making a few work related calls I have been on BC2 most of the last 2 days.
In comparison to the original Battlefield: Bad Company the squad chat feature seems to work for the most part. The bullet action isn’t quite as good as it was in the beta, or the demo. Maybe they felt that players were dying to quickly, and the funeral costs were getting too high. I noticed that they show there are water vehicles that we will be able to drive, but I have yet to actually see a water vehicle yet. I am not sure if the players got worse, or if they changed some of the game physics, but it seems like I get killed a lot more than I did in the beta, or demo.
The night board that I have played is very good. Most enemies don’t see you coming as well as in the bright daytime boards. I think the best addition to this version is the total destructability of building, etc. The last title allowed blowing holes in buildings, but never practically “leveling” a building.
I think that Battlefield: Bad Company 2 will far surpass C.O.D. in sales. I think a lot of C.O.D. fans will be amazed with the actual gameplay of this title. If they aren’t, then they must truly be little kids that have to always win because the size of the boards in Battlefield are considerably larger than that of any of the C.O.D. maps.
My day 2 review is getting close to the final verdict. When the Battlefield store actually works then I will make a final decision. Let’s see how long that error takes to get fixed.
