I purchased the long awaited EA game Battlefield: Bad Company 2 LE. It was released on March 2, 2010. I couldn’t wait for this title to come out, and I am glad that it finally did get released. I preordered mine through Gamestop because of the extras you get when you preordered the LE game.
When you get the LE (Limited Edition) you receive a card inside the box for V.I.P. access. This will give you FREE upcoming maps for the game. Along with that you get a code on your receipt for another weapon. You also receive a card from Gamestop that gives you early access to the Squad Rush multiplayer mode, and a AKS-74u rifle, which is pictured below.
If you have played either Battlefield: Bad Company, Battlefield 2 PC, Battlefield 1943, or any other Battlefield title, and registerd on Battlefield Veterans, then you will receive additional perks, and a “Veteran” emblem next to your name on the leaderboards.
When I get a game that has both single player, and multiplayer I tend to want to play the single player a little bit before I start playing the multiplayer. This is because I want to get a feel for the game, and get my fingers used to the controls.
The single player starts out in a “WW2″ scenario. After that the game goes right back into current time period. Throughout the single player missions you can find weapons that are throughout the game, and can be used later on by way of “Airdrop crates” that you will encounter. You don’t need the additional weapons, but they will help you out. After 5 hours of single player action I believe I only died 2 times. This can be attributed to me having looked for as many weapons as I could find. You also need to do additional side events of finding “M-Com” stations.
There is fully trophy support for the single player, and online play of the game.
I ended up playing the online game for @4 hours. During that 4 hours I destroyed many tanks, quads, and copters. I wonder if I should get some auto insurance quotes before I start driving my own vehicles in the game.
You can play along with your friends, or you can even run a “Private Match.” You need at least 8 people to start a private match.
All in all the game is definitelly worth the purchase. Currently I will not rate the game yet, as I want to play it a bit more before I give my final verdict.
